Assembly is quick and easy
You will need a drill, riveting pliers, mounting kit and the included manual, which will guide you step by step through the entire process.
The positioning of the ribs is individual according to the size of the vehicle and the layout of the furniture. The installation time for the basic supporting structure (without additional modules) for L2H2 size vehicles is approximately 12-16 hours.
In summary, with good preparation, two people can build the foundation of your conversion in a single day!

Solid joints are the foundation
The beams serve as intermediate elements firmly connecting the conversion to the vehicle's bodywork. They allow you to securely anchor cabinets, tables, electronics, technology, the bed frame, kitchen carcasses, and much more.
Depending on the nature of the conversion, you can choose how reinforced or lightened the structure you need, which can be easily adjusted not only by the number of ribs but also by the appropriate choice of beams. For most conversions, plywood construction battens (part of this set), to which you can easily anchor everything needed with screws and glue. In cases of very high load, the battens can be replaced with aluminum tubes measuring 40 x 20 x 2 mm.
Maximum Weight Reduction
If you are struggling with the vehicle's weight, you can significantly lighten some of the battens made from construction lumber using a 30 mm diameter dowel. The batten will lose up to 40% of its weight, but will also partially lose its strength and load-bearing capacity, so only use this method in areas with low load (only for wall cladding). In areas with higher loads, i.e., anywhere you need to anchor something (cabinets, equipment, etc.), leave the batten in its original state.
Adapts to Your Vehicle
The variability of rib placement is useful not only for adjusting strength but especially in cases where you want to have a window on the wall or a wide bed right up to the edge. Simply cut out the relevant section and use the ribs and battens as a frame for cladding this cutout.
Water and Electrical Installation Safely
Each rib is equipped with a number of holes, which have 2 basic functions: they reduce the weight of the structure and allow for easy and safe passage of cables and plumbing throughout the entire length of the conversion.

Attaching furniture has never been easier
The system of vertical ribs and horizontal beams distributes the acting forces over its entire surface, thus achieving truly strong and secure connections.
The usual way of attaching furniture in conversions looks something like this: a cabinet is attached directly to the sheet metal bodywork beam using 4 - 6 screws and thus holds in its position only at 4 - 6 points. But we do it differently. We attach cabinets to our MAR-VAN ® structure , which is not limited by the number of bodywork beams in the given cabinet area, and its weight is thus distributed over the entire bodywork.
The enormous advantage of the grid-shaped structure is the possibility of cladding the walls with a very thin and light material, without it buckling, warping, or sagging unpleasantly across the entire surface. For example, in the area of the original side window, it is not necessary to use 12 mm plywood to achieve surface strength, but less than half the thickness is sufficient, i.e., 4 - 6 mm. For cladding, you can use plywood, tongue and groove boards, sandwich panels, honeycomb panels, or simply cover with leatherette or other fabric. By using a suitable composite, the weight is further reduced.
Who is behind this product?
We are converters from Home on wheels s.r.o. and we developed this product by combining knowledge from the aerospace industry and experience from our field. After two years of designing, testing, and improving, we can finally offer a piece of our know-how to people who have undertaken the conversion themselves. Anyone can manage it, but if for some reason you don't want to tackle it yourself, you can use the services of our motorhome service, where we will gladly perform the installation for you.
